10 out of 10 people die, then what?

What is a Living Soul?
James 2:26 says. "The body without the spirit is dead.
Job 27:3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God in my nostrils;
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (spirit of God); and man became a living soul.

The body
+ The Spirit of God
= A living Soul.

What happens to the living soul when you die?

The body
- The Spirit of God
= Dead.

Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Isn't the soul immortal?
Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Revelation 16:3. Every living soul died in the sea."
1Timothy 6:15 ... the King of kings, and Lord of lords... Who only hath immortality,

Where do people go when they die?
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
John 11:14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead
John 11:11 Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

The dead remain in this condition until Jesus' second coming (referred to as the last day in John 6:40,44,54), at which time both the righteous living and the righteous dead will be gathered. In 1Th 4:16 we find that the dead in Christ shall rise first before those who are alive. John 5:28,29 says at the second coming the dead will be resurrected, the good to life and 1000 years later the evil to condemnation.

We do not know the hour of His second coming, but in 2 Pet 3:10 we read that at that time the living wicked will be destroyed "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished (Rev 20:5)."

In no place does the Bible say that the wicked are tormented for eternity. In Jude 7 it says "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah... are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah suffered eternal fire. Those cities remain dead and uninhabitable to this very day. But are those cities still burning in torment? No. Therefore, it is the 'result' of death in the lake of fire that is eternal, not the torment itself.

Many believe that those who die either go directly to heaven or straight to hell. The Bible warns us that Satan and his dark angels can impersonate deceased relatives, and give messages to deceive mankind. Those experiencing these kinds of 'encounters' often believe they are truly deceased loved ones giving them messages from God. There is, however, very clear guidance in Scripture to expose Satan's false teaching. For example, if the righteous dead are already in heaven, why is Jesus coming to resurrect them out of their graves at His second coming? "In Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming" (1Co 15:22-23.

Spirits impersonating the dead are of Satan. God warns us "that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1Ti 4:1). For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world (Satan and His dark angels), against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6:12). Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world (1Jo 4:1). Regard not them that have familiar spirits (spirits of loved ones), neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them (Lev 19:31). Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits (mediums, psychics, etc), or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD (Deu 18:11).They are demonic spirits that perform signs (Rev 16:14).
